The White House at Churn Creek Golf Course in Redding offers Shasta County’s perfect spot for your wedding, anniversary, birthday party, corporate dinner, or any other occasion in a beautiful and elegant garden setting. Mature trees and gardens frame the Federal Revivalist style portico providing a spectacular location for any special event. This venue is completely shaded in the late afternoon and offers beautiful night lighting for the evening hours.

The home’s design is based on an original sketch by Thomas R. Divine circa 1852. Some of the features included in that sketch were a large Federalist-style porch, shaded terraces, and many sets of “French windows” to take advantage of cooling breezes during the hot summers. Thomas R. Divine built his “white house” as a wedding present for his fiancé Jemima Dill. Jemima wanted a stately home so that she might entertain their guests from neighboring farms in “grand style.” The White House at Churn Creek Golf Course was renovated by Stephen and Deborah Divine for their wedding in 1992. The home and gardens have become an on-going “labor of love” for the them.
The Divine’s have created colorful gardens and scenic pathways that will make a spectacular backdrop for pictures as well as an enjoyable environment for your guests. Prior arrangements can be made to use the golf course for photos. Dramatic lighting in the evening will enhance your event.
Brides and their attendants will enjoy dressing in this large, elegant space with it’s expansive views of the gardens and ceremony site. The attached master bath features two lighted make-up areas, a separate restroom, large Jacuzzi tub, and gas fireplace. An expansive deck off the back is equipped with shaded outdoor seating and Jacuzzi with relaxing garden and golf course views.
The Groom and his party can relax in this guest house with private bath. This facility also features access to a covered patio facing the golf course.
A 441 square foot dance floor is available. Your guests can comfortably dance the night away! (Spring 2010)
The caterer’s prep area in the Guest House features a fully functional kitchen with electric range, sink, prep counters, and a full-size refrigerator and freezer (each 30” wide).

Seating for up to 200 guests is available for a modest rental fee; 25 five-foot round tables, 200 folding white chairs, 10 buffet tables (six foot long), A table for a cake and guest reception is also included. (available Spring 2010)

The facility at Churn Creek Golf Course holds a wine and beer license and can provide a wide variety of wines, beers, and champagnes as well as soft drinks from which to choose for your event. All alcohol is served by our professional staff.
The parking lot at Churn Creek Golf Course has ample parking spaces for up to 100 cars.

Deborah and Stephen Divine have been hosting weddings and special events at their home on Churn Creek Golf Course for over twenty years. They take pride in having everything “just right” for their guests and will assist in any way possible to insure that every event is a dream come true.
